Grooming FAQ

Got Questions? We’re All Ears (and Tails).

We know that handing your pet over for grooming can feel like handing over a piece of your heart. That’s why we’re here to answer your questions with complete transparency, gentleness, and genuine care

Absolutely. Regular grooming isn’t just about looking good—it’s about staying healthy. Grooming helps prevent matting, skin issues, nail overgrowth, ear infections, and more. It’s also a great opportunity to check for any lumps, bumps, or sensitivities early on.

It depends on your pet’s breed, coat type, lifestyle, and even the season.

  • Long-haired dogs or double-coated breeds benefit from grooming every 4–6 weeks.
  • Short-haired or low-shedding breeds may only need a freshen-up every 6–8 weeks.
  • Cats, especially long-haired or elderly ones, may need professional help to manage their coats comfortably.

Not sure what your pet needs? We’re happy to advise based on their specific fluff factor.

Yes, and very gently.
We specialize in working with pets who are shy, senior, rescued, or new to grooming. Our groomers are trained in low-stress handling and take extra time to build trust—there’s no rush, no force, and always lots of praise (and treats, with your approval).

Just your pet and their charming self.
If your pet has allergies or you prefer we use your own shampoo, feel free to bring it along. Otherwise, we use high-quality, vet-approved products tailored to coat and skin type.

It’s our gentle way of referring to anal gland expression, done externally by trained professionals only when needed or requested. It helps prevent discomfort or infection in certain dogs—especially smaller breeds. We treat this process with sensitivity and never perform it unless appropriate.

Yes, we do!
Our cat grooming is calm, cage-free, and designed to soothe rather than stress. Whether it’s a bath, brush-out, sanitary trim, or full lion cut—we tailor the session to your feline’s comfort.

In most cases, pets relax more easily without their humans present (surprising, but true!). However, we’ll always do what’s best for your individual pet and are happy to discuss special accommodations.

No, we never sedate. If a pet is extremely anxious or has medical issues that require sedation, we may recommend grooming under veterinary supervision instead. Your pet’s safety and peace of mind always come first.

Easy! You can call, message us on WhatsApp. If it’s your pet’s first time with us, let us know in advance so we can allow for extra settling-in time and cuddles.
